Just click on my link below in my signature and take a look! Shes finally home and I love her! Very straight, very little rust.

Her Vin number is 308, wow... Shes a 3 ton with a 236 according to the serial number on the cab and the Old Gmc Website, but I have yet to scrap off the old oil and dirt and look for an engine number. 43K on the odometer.

Shes mostly there with very little missing. But looks can be decieving...

Are the cab lights original? And what about the turn signal lenses on top of the fenders? They are all glass and match most of the rusty paint on the rest of the truck. Didnt know if these could be an option???

She was an old beer truck. It gets no better then that! grin She belonged to Metz Brewing Company out of Nebraska. An internet search shows they were in business from 1938-1961. Pretty cool!

Thanks for the interest, Jeff

Nice score rustednuts. Looks more like a 350 series 2 ton to me. The 450 3 ton COE's had 6 stud wheels. What is the gvw, on the ID plate. Those headlights, with small park lights on top, are original. So are the fender directionals. The directionals look like Guide D68 Turnsignals. I have several pairs, of them myself. You did good. Note how GMC, moved the headlights, down further to the front of the fenders. Chevy COE's had there's more towards the top of the fender.

That's GREAT!!! I love it, too!
Don't know about those turn signals. They could be aftermarket. But if they're the glass ones, they are certainly period correct. I'd be inclined to keep them, if you can get them to work.
Do all the COE's have the gas filler that high up on the cab? I hadn't noticed that before.

Special thanks to Oldsub who took most of the pics for me.

The gvw is 14k. Thanks for the info spanky. One of the park lights is missing and one of the red lenses on the turn signals is cracked. Do you have either of those youd be willing to part with?
Just the glass.

Also if anyone knows where I can get the bottom 3 grill bars on the hood please let me know.

Thanks, Jeff

Good score Rusted, Nice looking in truck. The fact that it's a retired beer hauler makes it extra cool.

rustednuts,

YES, pretty cool...what a bunch of fun awaits you! Did it come from a dry climate? Did you have to fetch it from Nebraska?

Awesome Rusted Nuts! It is a beautiful truck. Now the magic question. Are your three "green" areas on your hood all the same length?

Great purchase! Maybe you can sell beer out of it somewhere in the future...how cool would that be?

Atomarc, Actually it was brought up by the guy selling it, from Kansas. He bought it in Iowa I believe. The only reason he brought it was he was buying some tractors in Canada. It was cheaper then having it hauled up here by a car hauler to.

Tomcoe they are all 25 1/2". No difference.

Maybe it needs to go back to a beer truck during the restoration...how cool would that be at shows? Think you would get any attention with a vintage beer truck?...on my way to the frige just thinking about it.
