I'm starting to get really optimistic about the pandemic winding down. Has anyone heard any news about planning for the 2021 Midwest All truck Nationals?
I heard from Mongo and the show is on for this year. I figure in May we’ll start the Reunion planning. Anybody have any thoughts on a t-shirt theme?
In the meantime, I plan on attending the Southern Bolter’s Jamboree in July.

Yes they can. Folks drive old trucks hundred of miles around town but afraid to stretch the bounds a bit which is easier on the truck!!!! Drive them Rusty Rod, you need stories to tell future generations! Just do it.
You will all be in my thoughts would love to be there we have just had a lot of rain 6 days of it was a one in a hundred year event they say .will never see the next big event of rain but would be happy to go to Kansas City road trips are half the fun
Come on over anytime Tim, I’ll plan a road trip to car shows and to visit fellow Bolter’s. Maybe a western tour to Yellowstone and down thru Utah and the Rockies.

Maybe next year Tim? Or we can do a road trip down under sometime? When there is not bush fires and 100 year floods.

I thought we were going to use last year's unused t-shirt design.

Thanks Kevin, I forgot about that. Sounds like a good plan. Did we decide on the color of the shirt also?
We need to get together in the next couple weeks and just catch up on things. Don

Went to Classic Parts the other day and asked about the Nationals and if it was still in the park, they confirmed that it is still on, so went to the park to check it out. Very disappointed with the new layout, they used a lot of the open spaces for other activities and it seems that a lot of the parking area is gone, Might be a little tight this year. I wonder if Google Map shows the new configuration yet, hope it still works for the Nationals, nice and close for me.
Thanks for the update SP! We will start to get serious about the Reunion in late June. But I do hope we can get that same corner again. Mongo always takes good care of us.
On a side note, Vicki and I will be at the Southern Stovebolt Jamboree in July. This is the first time for it and it seems to be shaping up well. Check out the Southern Bolter’s for info.

Ron, it can’t be more compact than the last one in the casino parking lot. But, looking at the plans, I think it will not be that much different. Remember, more trees means more shade for old folks.

Ron, old is anyone that thinks they are old. Do you think you are old yet Ron?

The website for the Midwest All Truck Nationals says that it is Saturday only. I am disappointed to hear this as it is a long drive for me, just for one day. Perhaps us Stovebolters can hang out together either the day before or day after? Kent
Kent The last few years it has been Saturday show and Sunday awards. We have been setting up HQ Friday afternoon and the Aldersons host us for a BBQ Friday night and show off their private collection. I'll do some checking and get back to you in a few days.
In the meantime, the wife and I plan on attending the First Annual Stovebolt Southern Jamboree. Read about it in the Southern Bolter's threads. That will be July 9th and 10th.

Saturday, September 11. One day only. That's going to conflict with a lot of 9/11 events for military people.

This is what happens when you live with a house-full of women, the wife and daughters name all the cars: 1960 Impala - "Frankie" (Frank Sinatra) 1961 Apache - " 'Mater Jr." (wrecker) 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible 1967 C20 "Ol' Blue" (hidden in a log cabin for 30 years) 1972 SuperBeetle Convertible - "Juliet" 1976 SuperBeetle Convertible - "Olaf" 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce - "Romeo"
Apparently you can't say 'F a c e b o o k' on 'S t o v e b o l t'. What gives?
