A while back there was discussion of carrier bearings for the 1-tons. I have gone through some of my papers searching for a wiring diagram and found a piece of paper from the box the carrier bearing came in. This one fits my truck perfectly. (1947 AD 3800, dually)
I have looked up that part number and specifications and I'm pretty sure it fits 3/4 through 2 ton AD trucks, and likely more years that I'm not familiar with. This is the rubber bushing, bearing, and shields to rebuild the original carrier bearing/hanger.

Man oh man, I wish I'd known this last year. I ended up getting the bearing, slingers, shields, and rubber cushion from "all over the place" and rebuilt mine. Yeah it cost me a whole bunch more than this one sells for. I've added this to my "Library" . Thanks for sharing Joe and Grigg!

This is very helpful info - I'm rebuilding my driveshaft bearing now and was having trouble finding the right parts. I ordered a full assembly from RockAuto but I think the dimensions might be wrong, I'll see when it gets here. My housing is the original with the GMC script logo cast onto it, so I'd like to keep it. Just needs cleanup and paint.
Hey Schuon, It did not fit - but it wasn't specifically for my truck year and model. I took a guess based on my dimensions. I did end up finding the parts on Ebay that 54 3600 posted above. A nice NOS bearing and rubber cushion. I made a quick video that goes over how I took it apart and reassembled. Drive shaft center bearing overview:
