I acquired this beauty, supposedly new old stock, to install to compliment the very functional vacuum wipers. Problem is it's in such nice original shape just sitting in the box I feel bad actually installing it!

I bought an NOS one at least 10 years ago and installed it. It works great. You pump the fluid with your foot and it does as well as a modern unit. You probably already discovered that the hoses are rock hard but a quick trip to the auto parts store will get you going.

It beats the heck out of what I do. When the snow melts on the road and they have sanded, the road ends up really messy. Traffic creates a muddy spray. When get to a stop sign or stop light, I open the window and reach around with a spray bottle containing windshield cleaner. I like your thing better.

The car I drove in college had an old glass-jar windshield washer setup that I scavenged from an antique Cadillac. With the hoses routed to the glove box and vodka in the jar, a push of the "washer" button dispensed just the right amount of booze into a plastic cup of orange juice or Coke to make a stiff drink for my date! My brother-in-law Ted gave me an original NOS windshield washer unit for my 39 Chev Truck. I installed it but have never used it. I do not put any fluid in the glass jar in fear that any fluid in it will etch the inside of the glass jar over time. It is truly a conversation piece when I open the hood. My vote is to install it and put a grin on your face, along with many others.
