Have you adjusted them as described on that page - left column, under "1/2 ton and 3/4 ton, except Forward Control" Installation, step 4. That chapter has some confusing sections. If those end-plug fittings are loose (and/or extremely warn) that will affect steering and tracking. end-plugs in upper illustration | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | Oops, my post is a repeat of DADS50's post - sorry, I got waylaid in the middle of my composing the post. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | Better details on your post If they were loose an inspection of the ball ends might be in order? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | "If they were loose an inspection of the ball ends might be in order?"

If they are usable, make sure that you have a way of tightening the threaded ends very tightly until the springs bottom out, then back off until you can put the cotter pin one of the holes.
