Some of the LDT will be headed to Maryland tomorrow morning.
Leo, Andy, Chris and I will be on on the road.
Myself, it will be a nice easy ride and take breaks whenever I feel like it.
Maybe even get in a little sightseeing detour.

Crab is on my mind for a late lunch Thursday next to the hotel.

Drive safe Everyone!!!

The Lexington crew will meet at the intersection of Mount Atlas Road and Rt 11 Friday morning 8:00.
Anyone else is welcome to follow along or meet on the way.
We may stop for breakfast and generally plan to arrive at lunch time plus or minus.

Our route starts north on rt 11 to rt 340 to I-64 over Afton Mt. and past C'ville then rt 250 on the east side of Charlotsville to rt 22, rt 231, rt 15, rt 20, and rt 3 through Fredericksburg (with a non ethanol fuel stop/detour) continuing on rt 3 to rt 206 to rt 301 and over the big bridge, winding our way to the homecoming.

Convoy Information

I have been discussing convoy logistics with many. Here are the results:

ANYONE wishing to join the convoy to Homecoming please plan to meet MANY of us at the Murphy Gas Station (which provides ethanol-free fuel) at 10:30 Friday morning. Here is the address:

16492 Consumer Row
King George VA 22485

This convoy will contain the Fredericksburg contingency, 52Carl, Lugnutz and the southern contingency, and 53Panel from Canada along with anyone else who wishes to join. Once we are ready to go, we will cross the bridge into Maryland and join others waiting for us at the Maryland Welcome Center for a short ride to HQ.

See you all there!

Grigg,

Not sure if you were aware or not, but there are now 2 gas stations on rt 3 that have ethanol free gas. Heading east on rt 3 (in Spotsylvania county - go past the Harrison Crossing Shopping center about a mile) on the right is a Royal Farms convenience store. The have 90 octane ethanol free gas. Further down rt 3 on the left, in the Central Park Shopping center is a Wawa. They also have ethanol free gas, I think it is 89 octane. Gives you all a couple of choices.

I'm looking forward to finally meeting everyone! I'll be there around lunchtime on Saturday. Everyone drive safe!

Thanks Chris. For those wishing to be part of the welcoming committee at the Maryland Welcome Center (Maryland side of the Harry Nice Bridge on US301) , you can either meet us all there or go with us from HQ. HQ convoy will depart at 0945.

FWIW, once you all get here and need to refuel, the gas station closest to HQ (Ridgell Service Station) has ethanol free 90 octane.

The Lexington crew is still leaving here at 8:00 Friday morning, no need to get in a rush or wake up at 5:00 to take a leisurely vacation.
Plus the weather forecast shows rain Friday morning and leaving early to catch the rain doesn't sound like as much fun.

We'll see the rest of y'all when we get there,

Grigg

The Lovettsville crew of one will be leaving here about 9:30. Miss some of the beltway traffic and some of the pending rain. I should still be there by noon because I have lunch duty 😊
Look forward to seeing everyone!

Ready for bed at the Quality Inn in in Solomon Md.
Good Bar and grill just across the parking lot. And a good two person band playing.
The big yachts were starting up for the summer.
Hope to be at HQ about 10 am tomorrow morning.

Safe travels everyone !!!

Had to change out a starter motor in a parking lot in Warrenton. It's all part of the experience. Now I'm back in business. Holed up in Fredericksburg but will need assistance in the morning, maybe just a push. Thanks for the help Sweet!

Condition seems to be worsening and I don’t want to get stuck on the WW bridge. I will need to head back home and regroup. I’ll try to get the salads there by dinner time. Sorry

Ok. Worked on it some more and made it across the WW bridge. Such drama! Be there when I get there!

Well Ron, Jim and Tim -- you all were missed! Stunningly beautiful weekend! And at this time, everyone has left, all Bolters are on the road and hopefully enjoying a safe, cool, trouble-free ride home.

The weekend was our best yet and a lot of helping hands made sure of that. Freyja is as sore, worn out and depressed the weekend is over this morning as the rest of us.

Leo this story is for you from Plymouth owners club. On the road fuel pump repair. I would be lost.
Joe McGinnis The arm fell into the pan on my 50 Chrysler in the middle of "No Were" VA. I took the pump apart and removed the valves, bolted it back up, opened the trunk and got in and blew in the gas filler while the wife drove 15 miles to a town with a NAPA store. Topped out at 45 MPH! On the way home it coughed so I pulled over and sure enough the pin was almost out of the new pump but I saved it from joining the other arm. Put the pin back in and beat the snot out of the hole. Never had a problem. Fun on the road!
