Leo, Andy, Chris and I will be on on the road. Myself, it will be a nice easy ride and take breaks whenever I feel like it. Maybe even get in a little sightseeing detour.
Crab is on my mind for a late lunch Thursday next to the hotel.

Not sure if you were aware or not, but there are now 2 gas stations on rt 3 that have ethanol free gas. Heading east on rt 3 (in Spotsylvania county - go past the Harrison Crossing Shopping center about a mile) on the right is a Royal Farms convenience store. The have 90 octane ethanol free gas. Further down rt 3 on the left, in the Central Park Shopping center is a Wawa. They also have ethanol free gas, I think it is 89 octane. Gives you all a couple of choices.
I'm looking forward to finally meeting everyone! I'll be there around lunchtime on Saturday. Everyone drive safe! | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,723 24601 | | 24601 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,723 | Convoy Information

See you all there! Thanks Chris. For those wishing to be part of the welcoming committee at the Maryland Welcome Center (Maryland side of the Harry Nice Bridge on US301) , you can either meet us all there or go with us from HQ. HQ convoy will depart at 0945. FWIW, once you all get here and need to refuel, the gas station closest to HQ (Ridgell Service Station) has ethanol free 90 octane.

Plus the weather forecast shows rain Friday morning and leaving early to catch the rain doesn't sound like as much fun.
We'll see the rest of y'all when we get there,

The weekend was our best yet and a lot of helping hands made sure of that. Freyja is as sore, worn out and depressed the weekend is over this morning as the rest of us.

On the road fuel pump repair. I would be lost. Joe McGinnis The arm fell into the pan on my 50 Chrysler in the middle of "No Were" VA. I took the pump apart and removed the valves, bolted it back up, opened the trunk and got in and blew in the gas filler while the wife drove 15 miles to a town with a NAPA store. Topped out at 45 MPH! On the way home it coughed so I pulled over and sure enough the pin was almost out of the new pump but I saved it from joining the other arm. Put the pin back in and beat the snot out of the hole. Never had a problem. Fun on the road!
