Just got here today. Got a possibility with a '49 3100. If it happens, you may see a lot of me. Waiting for everything to fall into place right now. I'll be back!

Welcome to the Bolt rdillon. The 49 sounds interesting. There are parts available for AD style trucks and they make nice rides. While your waiting on the truck take some time to browse the tech tips, look at the photos in the gallery and in general snoop around and find out what Stovebolt is all about....Ask questions in the best garage forum and we'll be glad to help.
There are also many bolters from around your area so be sure to watch for some of them...they may be next door!

Thank y'all for the welcome. I like what I see on these forums, must be something wrong, seems like everybody gets along!?!
This truck is a kind of unique situation, it's all there,(doesn't run though) needs a bunch of love. Might fix it, might sell it as is, not sure. We'll see what happens... Randy

Randy, can we get that in "writing". LOL That could very well be the slogan of the year! I do agree though. Heck, even the moderators will moderate each other if someone gets out of line smile

Welcome to the site and as for all getting along, we do watch over each other, mixed in, with a little clean BS.
Check out the ODSS gang and the Homecoming event.
https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/forums/50/1/The_Old_Dominion_Stovebolt_Soc.html
You should think about attending, but be prepared to get dirty, it's a working weekend.
Here are some pictures from last year.

Got the truck! Needs a pile, so it will be a while before she's going. Turned out to be a 1950 model. I'll add it to my project list...

Interesting. I was in Portsmouth and Chesapeake in the early-mid 80's. An awesome woman got me to come back this way! Best move ever...

Back to the truck, looks like it's going to be a 235 with the original transmission. Going the path of least resistance. I just want to see it run! Thanks

Thanks everybody. Picked up a spare 235 the other day. The one in the truck is seized. I am sure this one will need a lot, the marathon is on!

Sounds like the LDT (Long Distance Team) will have some competition.
Sorry, but Sweet has already been bribed to help the LDT.

Been a while since being on here. The truck is just sitting and waiting patiently... Hope to see some progress this year. The spare 235 needs gone through, just need some time and money!
