Another piece to consider - those who meet at the school FIRST (especially if they are diving a POV), they can "pool" in a Stovebolt to the eating joint. We've done that many a time here at HQ.

Hopefully, Carl you can find out if they will let us all park together at the school. We've never had a problem with that before.

The school parks you as you arrive. If we arrive together it shouldn't be a problem. Except I will be there earlier than the schedule to register and compete in the show. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Very familiar, I live in the area. There are several shopping centers in the area, or we could meet up at the dunk in donut or some place for a cup of joe before hand. (Or the Harley dealership)

Robert, what is the address of the Dunkin Donut? (They typically have better donuts than Harley Davidson )

Hey there, I'm new here to the forums and to the classic truck scene, but I live in York County too and have been to the York High School show before, so I will plan on attending next month. The address for the Dunkin Donuts in Grafton is;

I have pulled the seat out of the truck and stripped it down, so If I drive the truck to the show I may be sitting on a milk crate.

been hectic in life around here, if all goes well would love to join up and could possible break out my canon and get some photos of the crew and rides, even maybe some action shots along the parkway !! yes it is a very peaceful tranquil ride along the parkway !!

19th works best for me, as we are hosting a Swap Meet on the 12th with our local AACA club out at the Military Aviation Museum. Beautiful Planes from WWi & WWII

There are two a mile apart, but YCgoat listed the one I was referring to as well at 6605 George Washington Mem Hwy, Yorktown, VA 23692. There's plenty of parking in the adjacent shopping center. So does everyone agree to meet there? What time?

After much consideration and input from several Stovebolt brothers and one sister, I have decided to proceed as follows. In order to accommodate as many bolters as possible without alienating others,
1) We meet at the York High School Car Show located at 9300 Geo. Washington Blvd (Rt. 17) Yorktown, VA any time between 10 and 1 and hang out as long as we want.
2) We can play lunch by ear. I, as many others believe that what we eat pales in comparison to the opportunity to meet fellow bolters, mingle, share, lie, etc. The Car Show presents a great opportunity for us to meet without worrying about a bunch of logistical issues.
3) I am looking forward to seeing everyone and their vehicles!

how do i know who is who and such, i will be lost wondering around looking for people. did not get up with the group at least meet, but hoping to get this one done.

will there be a central meeting point /time or should i look for the group of guys passed out under a tree taking a nap.

Look for the trucks, there will not be a larger group of trucks than us.

Take a moment and look at the great gallery pages that Peggy has done for some or our trucks, they include photos so that you will be able to recognize us.

(Hoping the advertising of the gallery will keep me in good standing at HQ)

hopefully all will work out weather and gatherin wise

Maybe next year for me - I'll then be be a official tar heel wearing my ODSS jacket (I am still in NY now - most of the time).

The locations mentioned above are only around 2-hours from our new house in Jarvisburg, NC

I think Carl has a great idea about arriving early to compete in the show, that'll give him a chance to claiming a spot. He'll have the Stovebolt flag so that'll be the identifier to the fellow Bolts.

Carl, what time are you planning to arrive?

Who all will be paying for a parking spot in the show?

The day of the show, registration is from 0800 - 1100.
The show is from 1000 - 1500.
$15 for the mail in registration prior to March 17, 2016.
$20 for the day of registration.
If you need an application, let me know and I'll send you one (will need an email address to go with that request)

The event coordinators will not hold spots for a group parking, they will park you as you arrive so a time of arrival needs to be established. If people are arriving at different times and from out of town then the Dunkin Doughnuts is a great idea. Arrive together/park together.

If you can't make a rondevu, that’s okay, show up at the car show and you'll be welcomed with open arms; well maybe not a hug but a hand shake for sure.

If you are going to park in public parking then they'll park you where they can fit you or you'll park where you can find a parking spot.

I'm sure that there will be food vendors so the lunch issue is taken care of...grab a plate, pull out your lawn chair and bask under the glory of the ol' Stovebolt flag.

If anyone wants to enter the show, you will need to be there before 11:00. I plan on arriving at 09:00 and set up an area in the general parking area outside of the show area for us to congregate. Look for the glorious Stovebolt Flag.

Most of the local shows around here do not have many Stovebolts in them. So odds are, if you see one, it is very likely one of us.

My plans where to attend guys but as of now my plans are on hold.
Feb. 19th "something" happened that evening but I did not go to the hospital. I was expected on the coast to help care for my father in law for the next 8 days and thought it'd pass.......it didn't. I did "my duty" but things did not get better.
I've spent the past week giving blood, catscans, Doppler scans, x-rays, and this week will be nuclear stress test again, echo-cardiograms and who knows what else. Spent 5 days in bed, no strength and about as useless as a dry dish rag. Lots of trouble breathing. Something going on but not sure what just yet. If things smooth out you may still see me and Big Orange (my panel)

...sweet/cosmo/bread and all the rest of you guys turn up a good cold Pepsi for me! Was looking forward to seeing some new faces. I'll keep you posted.

Alvin, mind the doc (and Moma) and get yourself straightened out. Sorry you are not feeling good.

Robert, since we changed the venue to the car show, and some folks who are planning on entering the show to be judged (they need to get there early), and many folks are coming from far away, it would be difficult for everyone to get together at the same time to ride into the car show together.
I will stop by a Dunkin Donuts and buy some donuts for you, so you can have your daily dose of vitamin "D".

Prayers for a speedy recovery my friend. Hope the doctors figure it out quickly and get you back and running on all cylinders in no time.

There is a convoy from the North in planning stages. Once the details are set, I will post here so that anyone who wants to join the convoy en route with the great Stovebolt Flagship Sir Charlie himself escorted by the GreenMachine.

I will also proudly say with Charlie's newer rear end we will be cruising at speed.

We will be meeting up and cruising down 17 to YHS.

Can't wait.

Ya know, all this obsessing over Charlie's rear end and people are gonna think we're weird ...

Tentatively, the plan is for the Flagship to depart HQ NLT 0700 and proceed singleship (alone and unafraid) via US301 to the rally point at 0800.
