I have a new windshield frame and a new gasket.
Did you lubricate the gasket before inserting it into the frame?

Gave up after a few days of fussing. Ordered another from Steeles Rubber Products that was great. It has a butt joint to fit and glue, but works fine. I got it form a gasket dealer at a car show, & he sold it to me with 3M Adhesive. I was instructed to use the 3M in the channel, relief cut the corners and glue them with CA as well as the joint.
