This is what Mongo posted and a big thanks to him and his work!

The Host Hotel for the Show is going to be the Hyatt Place Kansas City Airport. The group discounted rate will be $84.00 King & $94.00 Doubles. Both room types include a queen size pull-out sofa sleeper along with a mini-fridge & wet bar. Hyatt Place serves a complimentary hot AM skillet breakfast for all overnight guests in their Guest Kitchen from 5:30am-10am each weekend. They also have complimentary Wi-Fi. You can make your reservations by either calling 888-HYATT-HP and asking for the “Midwest All Truck Nationals” group rate, group code G-TRCK or by using the attached link: http://kansascityairport.place.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html?corp_id=g-trck

Here is a Map from the Hotel to the show.

So is there any kind of list of the hotels in the area so we could at least chose one we like even if there is really no real "host" hotel....joe

I would like to get and idea of how many will stay at the Hyatt before i book. Is there no interest in going back to the American???????? Personally i did not think it was that bad . I will go where the majority goes.

Ron
I checked the American and its all booked up that weekend.
Railroad must have some big project going on.
I just checked the Hyatt for prices and seniors/AARP,AAA members get four more bucks off, than the All Truck Nationals deal.
Plus a hot buffet in the morning. Less than 12 miles highway to the show.
Look it up, but I'm leaning on doing this one.
I'll also go where ever everone else want to go.

All I know was that I had a lot of complaints about the American, including my wife who was disgusted and says she'll never stay there again.
This was the Best Hotel that would give us a discount block that was under $100.

Not sure if I am going to make it but that is not a bad deal considering what we normally pay and then spend 7 or 8 bucks for breakfast. Deduct the cost of a good breakfast and the price becomes a mute point.

.....lots going on here. I'm still trying to swing it. Some days look promising and some not so good. Keep your fingers crossed.
Victoria will be out West but maybe my youngest daughter will sign up with me. She loves "Road Trips"!

There is a Super 8 across the street from the Park. The Argosy Casino hotel is in the same area.

I'm getting a "not available" response when I try to reserve a room, and the rate is $5.00 higher than the above post indicates. Yes, I'm using the "G-TRCK" option. What gives? I haven't tried to do the phone contact yet.

Thanks!
Jerry

Well. I just looked at the ratings on the Super 8. Most of them were not good.

Just made resrvations at the Hyatt Airport for Friday and Saturday nights.
FYI, call this number 888-HYATT-HP that = 888-492-8847.
You will get a machine that you have to talk to.
Then you are connected to the main reservation desk, where ever that may be.
I would suggest calling the front desk at 1-816-891-0871.

AAA, ARRP and military rates, are cheaper than the show discount.
So if you are old enough or served, use that.

I'm checked in for Friday and Saturday nights. $84 per night but if I wanted to come a day earlier, that would be $114. I said no thanks.

Here's where I'm staying. It's a little pricier but very close to the show and is brand new.
