The problem is not enough distance between boards. Only 3/8 inch between boards. The strips are riding on top of the boards and are higher than the wood. I think the strips are to wide. Can someone give me a width on these strips?

Thread here. Mine was a seven board. According to Mar-K their bedstrips are 1 1/2" with a 1/2" gap. I cut my own wood with measurements from another 4t6 here. To maintain a 1/2"gap I had to trim the outside boards a "hair". I think the most helpful information from my experience is to measure the cross members for alignment. Being that it is eight boards wide use your center line and start off the spacing with a 1/4" either side and work out. The two end boards will be smaller than the six according to Mar-K's instructions. Hope this makes some sense. Have fun and good luck Dan | | |
