Title work is done, tagged and registered, still have a ways to go but I actually drove it yesterday and it is one fun truck and the mufflers are loud and obnoxious at times inside the cab, Going black with it makes me wonder what to call it now because Lil Red isn't gonna work anymore. http://s10.photobucket.com/user/Ski...gate_zpsfnbbnqn0.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 | | | | Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 120 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 120 | So on my second day off I was in bed with a cold, Around 1 in the afternoon I couldn't stay in bed anymore and went down and wired up my horn, windshield wiper and electric fan switch then drive it in to get a new regulator for the charging system and on the way back I noticed the brakes dragging and the pedal was harder and it seems to be in the rear brakes so I will have to look into that on my next day off, stopped at the store and came on home, once in the garage I could smell the brakes and the rear drums were hot, lots to do still before it can be daily driven. http://s10.photobucket.com/user/Ski...ving_zpsd4h4eevx.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 | | | | Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 120 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2014 Posts: 120 | Ok here it is in it's glory as of Sunday, paint still drying and needs to be wiped down and washed with a mild scotchbrite pad for the old school patina effects, running good, stopping good and pretty much ready to start hauling trash as we pack to move to Georgia soon which my goal was to have it useable for the tasks coming I will need it for, so the shake down runs were good, It still has small issues but can be used as a truck which I need right now later it will be on a trailer headed to it's new home with us down there where I can work on it more and bring it along. http://s10.photobucket.com/user/Ski...lack_zpsdp4j1kzu.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | nice skip, nice.
