Got all the wiring done, had to change a few things to get it to charge the battery better, started painting the rest of the truck then Mark from work stopped by and we took it for a shakedown run, which turned out very interesting since we found out that whoever put in the front end suspension setup left it all loose gasp emoticon as well as the lug nuts on the wheels! but by the 3rd test drive it was doing good with a quick garage front end alignment, the transmission that came with the truck seems ok but has questionable shifting at times and on takeoff a few times felt like it was slipping a bit but one time it did that I looked in the rear view mirror and saw 2 faint black marks about 8 foot long so maybe it isn't slipping??? Title work is done, tagged and registered, still have a ways to go but I actually drove it yesterday and it is one fun truck and the mufflers are loud and obnoxious at times inside the cab, Going black with it makes me wonder what to call it now because Lil Red isn't gonna work anymore.

So on my second day off I was in bed with a cold, Around 1 in the afternoon I couldn't stay in bed anymore and went down and wired up my horn, windshield wiper and electric fan switch then drive it in to get a new regulator for the charging system and on the way back I noticed the brakes dragging and the pedal was harder and it seems to be in the rear brakes so I will have to look into that on my next day off, stopped at the store and came on home, once in the garage I could smell the brakes and the rear drums were hot, lots to do still before it can be daily driven.

Ok here it is in it's glory as of Sunday, paint still drying and needs to be wiped down and washed with a mild scotchbrite pad for the old school patina effects, running good, stopping good and pretty much ready to start hauling trash as we pack to move to Georgia soon which my goal was to have it useable for the tasks coming I will need it for, so the shake down runs were good, It still has small issues but can be used as a truck which I need right now later it will be on a trailer headed to it's new home with us down there where I can work on it more and bring it along.

Skip,
Always room for 1 more trucker in Ga!
Where are you moving too?
I live in Habersham, County; Clarkesville about 35 miles north of Gainsville.
You can contact Brad56@windstream.net, (706) 424-5035) and have your name added to his distribution list. Brad handles the car shows and swap meets in Commerce, Ga. His emails have a lot of information in them.
Good luck on your move.
Harold

Great looking truck! Was one here for sale last year but that cab was way too small for a tall guy. Great lines.

OOOOK, as my dad says, stay in or out!!

Just kidding you Skip. Life events happen whether we like it or not and sometime we just need to take a break.
Glad to see your still "kicking".
