For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 13 | Hi, I just picked up a 1957 6100. I don't know much about this truck and I didn't even know I wanted one until I seen it for sale. If anyone can point me in the right direction for parts, repair manuals, or a more appropriate place on the forum to help me get this project started

We want to know more about this truck too. Does it have a V8? What kind of shape is it in? What do you intend to do with it, put it to work or just cruise?
Let us know how you make out.

Lots of information and guys willing to share live here. For parts vendors check out the Links section. There is also an online manual site but may or may not have your big bolt manual. However, most vendors offer shop manuals and assembly manuals at a decent price..... a must have for working on these trucks.
Good luck, see you around the shop forums. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2015 Posts: 13 | Glad to be here, I look forward to this new project but i guess ill take it over to the big bolt section | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Travo, there is a lot of stuff that works on the little trucks and the big trucks. I also get a lot of info from the other guys projects as well. I usually end up visiting all the forums! There is also a lot of members here from Ca. Maybe some even close by. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,986 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,986 | Glad you discovered you wanted one! Welcome to the Bolt! As was mentioned, be sure to check out all the forums, but especially the Big Bolt one. The engine and electrical forums also have a lot of good info if you need help in those areas. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 123 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 123 | Welcome to the forum!
