Shaken, not stirred... Thirty or so seconds of this method yielded the best flow I've ever had from a rattle can. Translation: user never shook the rattle can long enough or frequently enough.

They do sell a rattle can adaptor for one of these batt. operated Sawzall's but this works just as well and is not dangerous. I used a standard length blade, the longer length would make the task a little easier. Try it, see the difference in your paint flow.

Thanks....and Cosmo, since its cold weather I sometime let the can lay in the wifes sink with warm water for 4 or 5 minutes. I think it helps in cold weather.

Cosmo, I tied your saw-saw (hillbilly phraseology) method and I like it, even though I can shake it by hand for 60 seconds faster than digging out the saw and rigging it up.
I always feel ridiculous shaking the can manually, and with the saw-saw method I don't have to listen to the annoying rattle either.
My POS father-law used to work at factory which made metal office furniture and they used rattle cans for touch up. They layed the cans on a conveyer belt on the production line in such a way that they stayed put and spun.

Cosmo,
I particularly like your container of solvent in the background. I imagine that makes the painting go better, also!

Cosmo,
Your hand blocked the view of the attachment you were using. Could you re-post a better shot?
Thanks,
Harold

Harold, it looked like he put a couple radiator clamps around the can, slid the sawsall blade up behind the clamps and then tightened the clams up.

Thanks Alvin. Could not tell if it was a special bracket he used.
