The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Soft tonneau cover for a 64?

I just called Checker Industries about a soft tonneau cover for my 64 longbed Fleetside C10. I had my credit card in hand and was ready to buy. They told me that they won't make a cover for 60-66 Chevy fleetside because of the location of the stake pockets. Major bummer!!

So...anyone got any ideas? I looked at the Truckhyde soft cover but at a price of $19.95, it seems like an el cheepo thing. I don't wanna spend money that I don't have to, but I'd also like to get something that's gonna last more than a week.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I spose I could always get some aluminum tubing, make a frame and see if I could get me darlin bride to stitch up a cover. Sounds like an awful lotta work, tho.

"LMC" lists one for $279.95 or another one for $399.95. And they both appear to be the soft canvas covers.

Do ya happen to have the part numbers for those tonneau covers? I've ordered an LMC catalog, but it's not here yet. And ya can't look up stuff on their website without a part number...or at least I didn't find a way to do it.

Sorry about the slow reply. The part number for the conventional tonneau cover is 38-3040 and it costs $279.95. The cover that hinges at the front with lift struts is 38-3080 and costs $399.95.
