I'm sure it doesn't feel like it, but you are lucky you can repeat the problem so consistently. I would write down the tests in a notebook then run through them and write down the results. I would try not to jump to the ah ha moment too soon. Testing is faster than fixing since you can repeat so quickly. Let me add another. When it starts to crap out throw it into neutral and take your foot off the gas, essentially get back to the idle state.
