WHAT A LEARNING CURVE! First let me say thanks to everyone's input with this project and in the end I think it was "all" electircal". First the battery and then the coil but who knows for sure. when in doubt "replace everything". Steve H,Bradsfour and most of all DADS50,thanks again. I know I sound a little stupid when I say that when replacing the vacuum advance that I would have to reset the timing! I was having nightmares about replacing this but it wasn't bad at all, until it wouldn't run! Setting the timing without a light is a little different but it works. "Rusty" is running in good form. I'll set the time closer when I get to my buddies with a light. Now on to the brakes, thank GOD they don't need "spark"!!!!!!!
