You'd be interested in the dyno run tests we did on Slick 50 when it first hit the market. After a series of baseline tests run with regular 10W-30 motor oil in a new Ford 300 6 cylinder, we changed oil, poured the Slick 50 in, and ran it for an hour at partial load to distribute it evenly. The same series of HP/Torque tests were run as before, with a 5% POWER LOSS after the slick 50 was used. Nuff said!
The next encounter with the stuff was in a Buick 3 liter V6 with a broken crankshaft after 53,000 miles on a very well-serviced vehicle. When the car owner wanted me to put the slick stuff in, I refused, or the engine warranty would be void.
Bottom line, Slick 50 is sucker bait!
