I've used bg service when I was a tech. Put a can in the fuel tank and a hook a vacuum line to the other. Car would idle like hell, sputter and almost die. Floor it and the biggest smelliest cloud of crud came out of the exhaust. Worked like a charm. My dad uses the water method.
