hello, i have a 1942 chevrolet truck, a fire engine( i am from a fire department) and the truck is not charging the battery. i did all the tests to determine the alternator isnt working. i plan to keep this 6 volt and want to have the alternator re-wound. i also want to replace the voltage regulator, is this something available at an autoparts store. also, its from leece neville( same as alternator) what else should i be looking for. do i have negative or positive ground system. thanks
