Well, for those of you who were unclear about it, I contacted Leece-neville Directly, and It is a 7 volt(6 volt) 60amp, 400watt Alternator, the model number is 5084-GA3. Manufactured sometime around 1952, but not installed on this truck until somewhere around 1976. I have sent the unit to a local harkness shop where it will undergo testing, as for now, the shop teacher(he rebuilds and tests 6 volt generators and alternators) says the bearing is shot and could be part of the problem.
