I can see your address is on the other side of the pond. The markings on your regulator aren't the traditional items you would find on a stateside regulator. This doesn't mean it won't work though. Is your generator a Delco or unit made in the USA or is it something you have adapted to fit and are using a regulator compatible with it.

The third 'bobbin' that seems to be missing would be the cut-out relay. Did you have some paperwork that told you how to connect this regulator and indicated it would work with your generator. These things aren't hi-tech, but they don't work well when you just mix and match.
