On a hunch I looked at the Lucas regulators thinking that you might have done this. Although the terminal designations are different, there description indicates you have it connected properly. Did you polarize the generator. On your Lucas setup, I think a small jumper wire would be momentarily touched between A (BATT) and D (ARM) terminals. I wonder what the A+ terminal is used for?
