When I bought the '66 the seller assured me that it could make the 3 hr drive home no problems. Last minute I decided to spend the extra bucks and rent a trailer. Putting the truck on the trailer was no problem. Taking it off we discoved the M/C was shot.
Time is worth money. 5 hours there, discover it won't make the trip, 5 hours back, rent a trailer, 5 hours back over again, then 5 hours on the return trip. I don't see how renting a trailer or truck and trailer can't be worth it. just my 2 cents........
