My cousen used the 2 solenoid hook up on his 67 big block (396/402). it sure made him mad to put a ford part on his chevy, but it did fix the problem.
We use the 2 solenoid hook up on VW's but the problem with the VW's is too much wire. The positive wire from the battery go's from under the back seat to the ignition switch at the column and then back to the rear of the car to the starter. a distance of about 16 ft. So you install a ford solenoid under the car and use the ignition switch to activate that solenoid, and hook up the solenoid directly to the battery and the starter. Cutting the distance to 2 ft. The ford solenoid won't need as much power to make it activate.
