The good stuff like Fusor or 3M works great-no warping from welding heat, no water penetration, no seam sealer needed, etc. I still would weld any structural metal but for floors/small patches etc. nothing better than the glue. I only butt weld any outer patches though, sometimes you can see the different thickness in the finished paint if you overlap stuff there.

The metal will tear before the glue lets go. Dodge has been gluing on bedsides for years, GM glues on quarters also...
