tim, out here in stixville we panel-bond just about anything, and it works every time. It is holding the hood together on my John Deere as we speak. We've used it to repair anything from swimming pools, kid's toys, rifles, plastic headlight housings to keeping plastic handles on stainless steel cooking pots.
IMO, it is the best for floors in old cars/trucks-if you have ever tried to weld underneath a vehicle you will appreciate the glue. No dingleberries.
