I will admit, my truck is garaged, so it is not in the weather 24/7. I also think that waxing the finish once it was cured, and rewaxing it when along with the rest of the truck, may have helped it last longer. I have gotten better results with the spar varnish on its own, and I personally don't believe than any of the clear finishes are going to be a permanent finish on any type of wood. They will have to be redone eventually.
