You are right, and not to argue the point, but a bunch of the Model "A" Club guys are running one wires on their vehicles, too. In fact, I bought my original alternator, which was a GM, from a Model "A" guy. Those Model "A" guys will put GM parts on their cars without batting an eye. They have no shame.
I saw a Model "A" last Saturday with a T-5 in it - an S-10 T-5!!!
