This topic comes up about once a month. For people who have already chosen a style of alternator (and thought their choices over carefully), it's a lot like discussing which religion is better. If our alternator (religion) has worked for us, we seem to have a need to argue that our's is the best.
For people who have never converted to an alternator, they hear all sorts of opinions and this must be confusing.
On a completely different matter, that is a little off topic: fritzer999, has you truck already been converted from 6 volt positive ground to 12v negative ground?
