You are correct. Those bolts are bigger than the originals. But I thought they sit in the big circle and do not make contact with anything but water. I'll look at it again because I really want to use the adapter plate, fan and shroud that I've already purchased. I put the short shaft on because I want to test the motor and parts before it starts to rain around here on a regular basis. Once winter rains show up and I can't drive it, I'll go back and try the adapter plate again. Its not to hot out this time of year so I might get away with it for a while.
