Much of the discussion above deals with heavy duty towing. What are the views on the limitations for towing with a '58 longbed Apache 283 cu. in. that's stock except for a power brake booster? I was thinking of using mine for towing a 7,000 lb. car trailer (probably with electric brakes). I'm planning on getting new shocks soon anyway- any recommendations if I'm going that route?
