| | | | Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 295 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 295 | Ohm law says I = E/R. and E = IR. Now then if you have no load connected to resistor then E (voltage drop) is zero. Thus you will have 12 volt - just like you got. Connect a load and see what you get.
