Home Depot can thread pipe .Learned that after I was finished. I used the pvc about 150 feet of it around my shop .No problems yet .I was told when it blows someday it is in small pieces .It was less than the steel pipe and I was on budget. I used 1 inch with about 12 female couplings and a shut off valve at the compressor connection .
