One of the biggest concerns is not pulling a PVC joint apart by hand, but having a pipe or fitting explode and blow chunks.

Wouldn't be safe to do, but fill a section with 150 PSI and drop something heavy on it and observe the results.

I had a PVC tater cannon explode in my hands, knowing how that goes I certanly won't be using PVC for shop air lines.
