Peter,
If you have your flywheel cover installed, I think a rear main seal leak would travel down the cover and be centered on the truck.
For the drips to be off center, I would look at the side cover, or maybe the fuel pump gasket.
Both those items are on the passenger side. Being "handed" might make it easier to find Mr. Leak!
