The oil on only the front of the flywheel sure points a finger at the rear main.
I am not sure what the 'hogs head' is, but it should be below the level of the main seal area for a leak to affect it.
Have you checked all the gasketed surfaces above the bellhousing...rear of the valve cover, side cover etc. Anything that could run down or be blown back to the area where it drips.
The pan is sealed in this same area with the strip over the rear main bearing cap.
It very well could be the rear main seal that is truly leaking, but it would be great if it was just some simple old 10 cent gasket.
