I had myself and 2 other friends unload the post off of the longbed pickup, we set the post upright , me on the truck and the other guys on my garage floor pushing the base down and keeping the post from sliding across the floor with their boots as i shoved up from the backend, alot like a see-saw affect. Make sure you have your spot marked on the floor where you want it to be positioned. My lift needed 12'6" ceiling room from the closest wall, that put me about 2'6" away from the wall side and almost a perfect straight drive to the lift arms.The post will slide easly across the smooth concrete, just keep it upright and move a little at a time.
Once you have your base/post in position, take a chalk pencle or sharpie and mark your hole positions. Measure again the distance across from each other (remember...measure twice,drill once) That is where my thrushold came in handy cause all i had to do was to place it on the floor and my distance was set.
now you are ready to drill. blow the holes clean and slide the post/base back into position. Place the drive anchors (some call them wedge anchors also. I have 4 left if you need them say the word and there yours) into the holes , put the washers on then the nuts just to the top of the thread and drive the anchors into the concrete with about 3/4 of 1" left out to tighten the nut on and tight flush should be good to go.Just remember get good measurements from side to side and end to end.
I measured mine from the garage door opening back and then from the closest wall over to my furthest post/base.
I bought mine used so I took all the measurements i could while it was still in position, but still had to re-figure because of the different ceiling heights, which made the distance from the wall different.
I don't know why i'm telling you all of this ..........i have read some of your articles and You won't need any help except to get it off of the truck and move into position.
