That makes more sense to me Bill, but I've talked to several street rodders that have installed them in their garages with only a four inch floor and it sounds like that was ok by the manufacturer. I'd feel a lot safer busting up the floor, digging down and repouring it with studs in the concrete.
What's all the hubbub about 12 and 15,000 pound lifts? Do you guys actually have vehicles that weigh 6 or 7 tons??? I could understand if you did service work on big trucks but most cars and trucks that the average guy or rodder would work on only weigh in at a couple of tons or less.
