I just did mine this winter, not sure how that went anymore with those lower two bolts, is the flywheel in the way? BTW, I will copy word for word from the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual, section 6-20, paragraph 26 "Remove bolts from rear engine mountings, remove front engine mounting and raise the engine, clutch and transmission from the chassis as a unit." It has other steps preceding this last step but does not mention taking out the cross member.
