I found out more info on the truck yesterday, the engine has a bad crank. The guy said he was driving it back in '98 and he hit a big hole in the road and I guess it jarred the engine so bad it bent the crank? I didn't really understand what he meant. He told me it'll run but you'll hear the engine knocking really bad, they just didn't want to spend money on the truck since it's already in sad shape. Not sure if we'll get to mess with it for awhile, been busy working but the truck ain't going anywhere.
