I got a daily driver, driven it about 8,000 miles (wild guess) in 1.5 years owning it. paid $2,100 for the truck, $600 on tires, $370 for king pins (if only I had a 100 ton bench press..), $10 for a driveshaft bearing, a few hundred in gaskets, weatherstrips, spark plugs, and the alike. then oil and filters of course. it's still not pretty, but:
at $2,300 per year including the truck itself
or $900 per year including major stuff
or $300 per year to keep it running
I figure it's really not that bad
