The newer model Craftsman ratchets are junk. I prefer the ones from the 60s or older. I won a new Craftsman set from Tools For a Cure. I get frustrated every time I try to use one of the ratchets. If I know I'm going to be doing a lot of wrenching I'll grab one of my older Craftsman or Snap-on ratchets to use with the new sockets.

The ball mechanism on my old Craftsman torque wrench broke and a socket will drop off. But I'd rather put up with that than trade it in on one with a new style ratchet head.
