You think the newer Craftsman ratchets are junk, you ought to see the Craftsman stuff they sell in Canada! All made off-shore. But they have a warranty. I had chrome start peeling on a set of MAC stubby wrenches and the sales guy was reluctant to change them.
I have Made In USA Husky as well which I like but now the ones here are made off-shore.
There is a company in Canada(maybe elsewhere too)called Fuller which offers off-shore tools. They sell a wrench for 5 bucks with no warranty. It seems they also make them for Sears up here. The same wrench at Sears costs $15 but it has the warranty.
I know this because I bought a set of Sears 1/4" drive sockets and two of them said Fuller.
