Heh heh heh. I wud pay some attention to that steam bypass idea. These GMC motors are notorious head crackers--might be a good idea to find a water jacket back there and run some pipe to the stat. Heck put a little coil in the line throw a kettle in the back--prolly be able to boil up a spot o' tea on a hot day.
I've heard some say that GMC had so many head designs(Ive seen four) cause they were tryin to invent one that wudn't crack--apparently never succeeded---maybe that 3/4 inch longer motor causes it-- can't say.
Chevy--we may sometimes be a little slower gettin there but at least we arrive with our head in one piece. :rolleyes:
