Doomed? Scott was doomed in Antartica,but he wasn't building intakes.
I checked a 3 carb Jag intake, short runners, common plenum.I looked at SU's, the 1-3/4 and 2 inch carbs are 200 bucks plus each for good ones.Looked at Harley S&S sidedrafts, thought about it, probably hit the steering column on the rear carb with side drafts.
Could go for a 4bbl intake like on my 261,but I'm not convinced it's the best setup for an inle,ya know different length runners.May not matter on a street engine though.Besides, 3 carbs seem proper on a 6 cylinder.
