I have a 1-ton that is minus all the front sheet metal. You've got me thinking about taking the rotten cab off my 1 1/2-ton and putting the panel body in it's place. Wheel base is about two feet too long, but that can be fixed.
Interesting idea. Not one I'm going to add to my project list.
