Hy Shellology, whenever I rebuild a brake system with wheel cylinders that have metal caps on the end, I pull the caps off and I put some never seize on the area that rides on the outside of the wheel cylinder body, I also put some on the adjuster screw threads, if you get your drums off again you might consider doing the same yourself, keep pluging away at it, hope that helps.
